FLIC & Silver began in May 2024 as a passion project—an ambitious idea to create a cinematic, comic book-inspired science fiction experience that blended humor, adventure, and immersive sound design.

As AI filmmaking technology evolved, so did the project. By combining these cutting-edge tools with countless hours of writing, directing, editing, voice work, and sound engineering, I transformed FLIC & Silver into a fully realized 3D animated series.

Every aspect of the show is independently created, including:

  • Voice acting and character development

  • Audio engineering and post-production

  • Sound design and scene composition

  • Scriptwriting and narrative structure

  • Creative direction and world-building

  • 3D animation, cinematography, and visual storytelling

FLIC & Silver was built entirely from scratch, with no prior experience in audio production, voice acting, or animation. What began as a passion project has evolved into a continually growing creative endeavor, with each episode reflecting new skills, techniques, and lessons learned along the way.

The project originally launched as a cinematic audio drama, allowing the story and characters to come to life through immersive sound design and storytelling. Those original podcast episodes remain an important part of the project's history and may continue to be released as Ship's Logs—archived transmissions that document the origins of the FLIC & Silver universe and showcase the creative journey from the very beginning.

As the series has grown, so has its ambition. Going forward, FLIC & Silver is transitioning into a fully animated 3D cinematic experience. Using cutting-edge AI filmmaking tools alongside traditional editing, sound engineering, and storytelling techniques, each episode is being produced in a Pixar-inspired style with cinematic animation, expressive characters, and immersive science-fiction environments.

Every new installment builds upon the last, continually raising the bar in animation quality, visual storytelling, and audio production while preserving the humor, adventure, and heart that define the series.

Whether experienced through the original Ship's Logs or the new animated episodes, each story is carefully crafted to feel like a living, breathing universe—placing audiences directly aboard the Starship Rhea alongside Captain Reed Silver and his AI companion, FLIC.
